Kumud Gond is an edible gum extracted from the bark of Kumud Tree, only found in Kumud Forest of Madhya Pradesh. This rare food cannot be cultivated, just harvested once a year. In traditional Indian cuisine, various varieties of Gond are used in winter dishes like ‘Gond ke Laddu’.
This heirloom food has been selected for it's genetic integrity and medicinal value while our heirloom farmers passionately adhere to the highest standards of natural farming. Slow, chemical-free processing methods are used where necessary.
Benefits:
This foraged superfood is known to be high in calcium and other 'undiscovered' nutrients that are essential for the health of our bones, joints and the lubrication between them.
Suggested Use:
Kumud Gond can be added to various Indian recipes or just sucked on directly in the mouth. It can be ground to a powder easily in any household grinder. About 5-10 Gms a day either mixed in water or home made lemonade is one way to consume it. Ann 'Super Laddu' is another!
