As tasty as a light apple juice, Ann's Apple Cider with 'Mother' and 'Pearl' is a rare food. It's rare for a good reason. Historically, all cider was made in its natural state from slowly fermented fruit and left unprocessed. This ancient technique requires nine months and nine days of painstaking nurturing to complete. The final result is a delicate tasting cider with high medicinal value, no harmful preservatives and very long shelf life.
Commercially available, Organic Certified 'Apple Cider Vinegar' is processed. It comes with a strong, pungent, factory made, 'organic certified' chemical preservative called Acetic Acid (which points to the dis-logic of modern organic certifications). Acetic Acid or 'Vinegar' is used as a preservative that ends up killing the 'Pearl' or Apple from which the 'Mother' arises. These manufacturers are forced to filter out the blackened, rotten apple after this hastened procedure of ten days or less, so the product looks presentable; thus eliminating the precious, medicinal 'Pearl' and leaving behind the 'Mother' and 'Strong Chemical'.
This heirloom food has been selected for it's genetic integrity and medicinal value while our heirloom farmers passionately adhere to the highest standards of natural farming. Slow, chemical-free processing methods are used where necessary.
Benefits:
This ancient preparation has been used world over for thousands of years as a tried and tested alkaline, digestive aid and pro-biotic. Apart from this, apple cider is rich in many micro-nutrients especially Vitamin C and B12; sometimes a life saver for vegetarians or vegans who may be lacking these nutrients from their daily diet.
Suggested Use:
As tasty as a light apple juice, Ann's Apple Cider can be had by the teaspoon or tablespoon every morning or whenever the stomach feels uneasy after a meal or otherwise.
Our apple cider can also be added generously to salad dressings or sauces to impart a light, tangy flavour apart from it's other medicinal benefits.
Storage:
This product should remain fresh for over two years if storage instructions are followed. Keep airtight in a dry place indoors, away from direct sunlight. Do not refrigerate.
